About the Founder
(and his better half)
Kevin Vought, PE is the Founder and President of Key Clinic Data Professionals. He graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Physics and Math in 1995 and went on to simultaneously earn two master’s degrees in 1998 – one degree in Nuclear Engineering and the other in Civil Engineering. Over twenty years of his career focused on developing computer simulated models and analyzing huge datasets with spreadsheets and programming.
He applied his mathematical and spreadsheet skills toward analyzing data for his wife’s (Jill Vought) pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapy clinic for over 17 years – mostly while simultaneously working his full-time engineering job. He utilized his programming and modeling knowledge to not only develop and analyze the standard graphs and tables commonly used in analytics, but to develop the Predictive Modeling Tool for the company to forecast changes in net revenue from changes in the company’s operational procedures. During those 16 years, he was also a key consultant to his wife, helping advise her on how to grow, expand, and strengthen the company.
Kevin’s list of accolades is extensive. A short sample of them follows:
- Awarded with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024 for not only his professional achievements, but also for his private work including publishing a book (I’m Supposed to Make a Difference) directed at helping survivors of childhood trauma not simply survive, but thrive;
- A lifetime member of the national honor society Phi Kappa Phi – a prestigious honor society that includes countless accomplished authors and poets, scholars, and scientists;
- A registered professional engineer (PE) in the State of Florida. This requires numerous qualifications and qualities – among them is the ability to always produce quality material, and perhaps above all, abide by all relevant laws and rules, safety standards, and ethics.
After Kevin and Jill sold the therapy clinic for several million dollars, Kevin started work on automating his processes so he could offer an affordable alternative for all clinics and similarly run organizations to take advantage of his Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tools and his Predictive Modeling Tool. He wrote a customized program for integrating all aspects of running a clinic to application of future decision-making.
Jill Vought, M.S., CCC/SLP, OMT, Speech-Language Pathologist, is a Principal Consultant of KCD Pros. Over the course of 17 years, she built a pediatric therapy clinic from a one-person operation in the kitchen of her daughter’s daycare to an organization with 2 locations and over 30 employees.
This phenomenal growth came from a combination of extremely hard work (too many all-nighters to count), extensive knowledge of her field of practice, charisma, wise business decisions, and the data analysis provided by Kevin Vought. From her experiences building her own company, she is abundantly aware of all the ins and outs of the daily requirements and demands in operating and growing a clinic. She works very closely with Kevin and the team in analyzing paths forward for KCD Pros’ clients.
